The Briar

Each Geiger pipe is made out of at least 3-year dry plateaux. I get briar from various countries and places wherever the highest quality can be found, Corsica, Italy, Calabria , Algeria and spain to mention some...I truly love briar and the varity of grain it holds and spend a lot of time examinig blocks to see what forms do them the best.

A Selection of my finest briar

The Stems

We make stems out of High grade German ebonite and cumberland rods. and in rare causes in faux amber.

Each stem is drilled with a conical bore starting at 4mm in the Tenon and narrowing down to 2mm right before the slit.
The slit is formed like a V and is drilled around 15mm deep.
It is 7mm wide and 1,8mm in height.
This allows for a nice open draw.
Stem V-slot

Our stems are designed to be comfortable clenchers and the area where you bite is filed down to 3,5mm to reduce saliva production and enhance mouth comfort with rare exeptions for larger pipes with more weight.
Stem Side veiw

The tennon is carefully turned and sanded up to 2500 grit to fit the mortise presisley without being too loose or tight.
sometimes the tennon is made out of Delrin or stainless steel when the engeneering requires it and in other cases an Itergral tennon.
